horse run tests...supposed to be..
After testing my third trial, it still looked iffy. I realized that my timing is too even. looking again at more references, i found (at the specific speed) that the legs were closer in motion than when they were in contact with the ground(meaning on the ground, the legs were farther apart) suggesting that the legs move more slower in the air than when they are on the ground. So i'll try to adjust the timing with that in mind, hopefully that really is the problem.
...
blogger wont let me upload my mov and i cant get fugu to work. :( will post ASA i figure it out.)

final anim ideas
centaur, more realistic or simpler characters...
centaur would be challenging, but simpler would be easier to move. simpler prob means longer, but i dont have an idea for the simple characters yet.
if i did the centaur, i would basically have a short glimpse of galloping, halt, draws and shoots an arrow, camera following arrow to its target.
simple character idea, still playin around w/ character creations. i could be more in-depth in a storyline. add more than one character interacting.
simple seems more fun i think. but a more realistic style also intrigues me. simple can apply principles easier, but realistic can add diversity to portfolio. simple can show off originality in design, realistic can showcase artistic skill in more complex character.
i'm thinking too hard about this. maybe i can do a two short clips of both? that might end up being too much...bleh, i'll figure it out.

update:
so i thought of an idea for my simpler characters that i randomly came up with. the whole concept of putting two or more completely different ideas/characters together and making a story inspired this. so, this is story will revolve around a strange group of creatures. the cow looking creature will be briskly walking all happy, stumbles on a rock and cries.(3s) the rabbit will rush over, c if he's ok, will try to pick him up, but he's too heavy. (6s) the cat will approach, assess the situation, wrap her tail around the cow like a lasso. she'll walk with ease, but then she sees a bug on the ground and freaks out. (16s) she'll fall in the bushes dragging the others with her, they end up rolling down a hill, short slow motion moment, then off a cliff. they freak out but then are levitated by the alien's spaceship beam. they float to the other side all happy, but before they reach it the beam malfunctions for a moment, and they get scared. they reach the other side all happy again, but they are dropped a lil above the ground. stacked up, cow on top, slowly rolls off, falls on his head, cries. the alien nervous, zooms away.
crap, that was way way too long. lol. i hate cutting stories short though... :( but a story is good motivation. err. lemme think about it again. T_T
