well here's my turn with some spunk. used a fleshy character: a tubby bunny. used anticipation, follow-through, and squash-n-stretch. tried to settle him with a slight squash again, but didn't seem to show. tried to exaggerate the position, but in my opinion, it looks underestestimated. i wanted more tilt when he turns, and a lil lean after he settles his left foot. but overall, i was decently content.
after looking again, idk how i didn't notice b4, i made him squash his body b4 his left foot made contact, which is a no-no. he should still b stretching somewhat. and THEN squashed. kinda wished i closed his eyes on the squash too.

turn 1: normal...supposed2B..
well, here's my first turn. using myself as ref is a lil boring, in terms of follow through and what not. I added boots for flavor. hope u don't mind, he said his feet were cold. this exercise emphasized the importance of shifting weight.

Walk...stepping stones to learning. hah.
Interestingly enough, the feet were the easiest part for me. i guess cuz there were so many references. I also took some video clips of myself. I looked at the general motion of my walk and applied what I knew with the references and also the length of stride, as well as the tempo. My arms in my vid didn't really move much, but i guess with the longer stride of the character, it was appropriate to add more movement. I could've added more follow-through, cuz it looks kinda stiff, but i thought, nah looks somehat ok cuz he's a guy. If it was a girl, I'd prob loosen the wrists more. The head was the hardest part. First I tried bobbing, the second-half i tried swaying. The swaying didn't look right with the rest of the motion. I'm guessing that because he's taking long strides, there isn't much room for swaying as opposed to shorter strides. So i tried to tweak it a little, and make the swaying lil less obvious. also, it's hard to keep consistent sizing esp the head. one more thing, I think the upper body should be leaning a lil back with that kind of stride and tempo.

ok, although it is comparatively short, it felt like forever and a day. Well here is my cat tail mov. getting used to putting qt up on web. bought qtpro which made things easier too. hah, used a steady cam this time. could have made the transitions between loops a lil smoother i think. also wanted to try challenge myself by creating the follow through at an angle, and yes, it was hard, harder than i thought it would be.
